Students Sharing Coalition

 

A Baltimore, MD-based non-profit with programs that facilitate students in breaking down stereotypes and boundaries, improving low-income communities, developing self-esteem and leadership, learning about social issues, and becoming role models and leaders for the next generation.

 

 

Speak.Act.Change

 

A nationwide movement to spread awareness about teen dating violence among youth peers and in schools. Visit the website to find monthly activities that can be done at school with simple steps and materials.

 

 

Kids Care Clubs

 

A program of the Points of Light Foundation with a mission to develop compassion and the spirit of service and philanthropy in elementary and middle school aged youth.

These Canadian youth parliaments, founded in the early 20th century, all have a shared goal of teaching young people about leadership and the parliamentary process in Canada.  Most are model parliaments based on their respective provincial legislatures, and several also function as charitable organizations.
